Party Time!

Today we had Alex's monkey-themed birthday party.  Surrounded by friends and family, we got to shower  our little monkey with love and attention. 

 My friend, Karen, made Alex's beautiful (and DELICIOUS!) chocolate monkey cake and vanilla cupcakes.  Alex specifically requested the banana when we cut the cake!

Dave gave complimentary "Murray Express" rides to the kids which were a huge hit!  Even baby Ian got in on the action!!!

When it came time to blow out the candles on the cake, Nate graciously offered his services for Alex's assistance.  He can be so helpful, if he wants to be.  :)

 And Alex was so proud of himself after he blew them out!

He sure does love his "black cake"!  The more to mess with, Mommy!

Even Nate thoroughly enjoyed his cake.
